If I were still in academia and writing papers, I think I'd like to write a paper about the similar feelings evoked by "The Shade of Poison Trees" by Dashboard Confessional and the episode "Once More, With Feeling" from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I think that would be a fantastic paper. Maybe I can go back in time and use it for the one paper I never wrote in college.....sorry, Dr. Schmoll. Thanks for the B+ in the class anyways. :)

the last week has been bittersweet: a little stressful and wonderfully surprising.

i can't wait for one thing to be over.

but i can't wait for another thing to begin.

lots of things run through my head.

i can't expound on this right now.

i should be sleeping.

i really value those in my life that don't wig out when i get introspective/meloncholy. :)

While I'm on a run of geeky movie posts.....

watchmen.

Its been 6 days since I saw Watchmen.  While it doesn't constantly come to mind like previous movies have (Surprisingly, this is the effect W. had on me), I still find myself thinking about it.

I need to see it again.   Whereas most films i ruminate on based on plot, I think the fixation with Watchmen is a purely stylistic one.  I think a Zack Snyder triptych would be the bees knees (Dawn of the Dead, 300, Watchmen).
